First time I heard Jeff Buckey was on a recording from KCRW. This was when he hadn’t even realeased Grace yet. He just played a few songs from the upcoming album & arguably the best live version of Lover You Should’ve come Over I’ve everheard. For me, it was love at first sight. (I’m pretty sure this goes for every person who encounters his music for the first time.) Strange, that now, I think of his songs as simply music. Something that’s elemental.Something that’s pure, and untampered; something that simply comes from the earth. I don’t think that I’ll ever feel the same way about any musician ever. Anyhow, I just discovered this little gem this morning. I don’t even have words to describe how this makes me feel…
